basic information
【Lecture Overview】 To achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the development of Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology that efficiently absorbs and captures low-concentration carbon dioxide (around 430 ppm) from the atmosphere is desired. Development of DAC processes using solid adsorbents and Ca(OH)2 is already underway, but there is a need for DAC technology that operates with lower energy and cost. This lecture will introduce the low-concentration carbon dioxide absorption technologies being developed worldwide, while explaining the status of the high-speed carbon dioxide absorption technology utilizing liquid-solid phase separation phenomena and the DAC technology using solid carbon dioxide adsorbents with immobilized amino groups that our laboratory is developing. 【Lecture Topics】 ■ Carbon Neutrality and Direct Air Capture ■ Development of Direct Air Capture Technology using Liquid-Solid Phase Separation Technology ■ Development of DAC Technology using Amino-Modified Silica Solid Adsorbents ■ Future Prospects ■ Related Q&A ■ Business Card and Information Exchange Session
