The Ministry of the Environment has started a system to certify areas where biodiversity conservation is being implemented by companies as "Nature Symbiosis Sites," with 328 sites certified as of the end of March in the 7th year of Reiwa. To further promote private sector activities toward nature positivity, the "Regional Biodiversity Enhancement Act," which legalizes Nature Symbiosis Sites, came into effect on April 1st of the 7th year of Reiwa.
