This insect trap is a product developed in collaboration with the Taoyuan Agricultural Improvement Station, a government agency under Taiwan's Ministry of Agriculture, and a light source manufacturer. It emits wavelengths favored by insects, specifically 350 to 550 nm (UV-A to green light), and uses a photocatalyst to further enhance its effectiveness. The lifespan of the light source is 10,000 hours! Since it uses a bulb design, replacement is very easy. The attracted insects are sucked in by a fan and accumulate in a net attached to the main body. It can capture flying pests larger than 0.15 mm. Additionally, by regularly disposing of the accumulated insects, the net can be reused, making it low-cost and economical.
