Standardization of operations and realization of labor-saving! Case study of hanger-type storage and high-speed sorting system.

We would like to introduce a case where the "Pocket Sorter" was implemented at ZOZO Inc.'s ZOZOBASE Tsukuba 3. At the existing facility, many items were stored and picked in multiple locations, and sorting was done with two pieces of equipment. This required personnel for inter-process transportation, and the capacity limitations of the sorting machines made it difficult to improve picking efficiency. After the implementation, we achieved our goal of reducing labor through the reduction of manual inter-process transportation and standardization of operations due to the simple operation. This also led to a reduction in the physical burden on workers by minimizing the transportation of heavy items and reducing bending motions.
