basic information
**Lecture Overview** Akasaka Heat Supply Corporation will be the first district heating and cooling provider in the urban area to introduce a system that integrates hydrogen storage alloy tanks, hydrogen co-firing boilers, and fuel cells, thereby commencing next-generation decarbonized energy supply. This is not merely an update of equipment; it is a response to the "transition to non-fossil energy" required by the revised Energy Conservation Act, taking the step towards hydrogen as an option. In this lecture, I will discuss how we overcame the challenges of new equipment design, concerns about safety, the utilization of grant systems, consensus building both internally and externally, and the responsibilities and significance of being a "first mover in urban infrastructure," sharing stories of the struggles faced on-site. **Lecture Items** ■ The social role of Akasaka Heat Supply ■ Triggers and background for equipment updates ■ Overview and characteristics of hydrogen energy introduction ■ Coordination and introduction process both internally and externally ■ Perspectives as a first mover ■ Related Q&A ■ Business card and information exchange session
