This seminar will systematically organize policies related to carbon pricing, such as the Emissions Trading System (GX-ETS), Environmental Tax, and J-Credit System, and will explain the latest trends as well as future directions based on past developments and similar cases. In May 2025, the revised GX Promotion Act was enacted, legalizing the Emissions Trading System (GX-ETS). Currently, detailed design of the system is underway in preparation for the start of the emissions trading system in fiscal year 2026.
