**Lecture Overview** Kumagai Gumi is currently working to strengthen its core construction business while also incorporating construction-related businesses as further growth areas, aiming for revenue diversification. One of these peripheral businesses is the promotion of new business development, and we have launched the first project, "Microalgae × Aquaponics," formed through an internal call for ideas. This project aims to realize sustainable, environmentally friendly hybrid agriculture through a demonstration experiment that combines the cultivation of "microalgae" using Kumagai Gumi's unique strains with "aquaponics," which involves land-based aquaculture and hydroponics in a fully circular system. The experiment will start in May 2024 at a laboratory established in Saga City, Saga Prefecture.
