Arnite is based on PET chemistry and is available in unreinforced, glass-fiber-reinforced (typically GF10–40%), flame-retardant, heat-resistant, and hydrolysis-resistant grades. Its low moisture absorption ensures outstanding dimensional stability with minimal property variation over time. Mechanically, Arnite offers balanced tensile strength and high flexural stiffness. Glass-fiber-reinforced grades provide enhanced rigidity and low creep, supporting stable performance in snap-fit and fastening designs. Thermally, Arnite has a melting point of approximately 250–260 °C and high heat deflection temperatures suitable for automotive and electrical applications. It also shows excellent resistance to thermal aging and heat cycling. Arnite exhibits good resistance to oils, fuels, coolants, cleaning agents, and various chemicals. Hydrolysis-resistant grades maintain stable properties even under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. Arnite also delivers excellent electrical insulation and tracking resistance, with UL94 V-0 flame-retardant grades available. Its good injection-molding processability ensures stable appearance, dimensional accuracy, and consistent quality in mass production.
