ForTii — PPA performance where PA6 and PA66 reach their limits.
ForTii is a high-performance PPA (polyphthalamide) material portfolio developed by Envalior, designed for applications where conventional polyamides such as PA6 and PA66 no longer meet thermal, mechanical, or long-term reliability requirements. It is specifically engineered to perform under continuous high-temperature, high-humidity, and high-load conditions, making it a preferred choice for demanding automotive, electrical & electronics, and industrial applications. Compared with standard polyamides, ForTii offers significantly higher heat resistance, superior mechanical property retention at elevated temperatures, and excellent dimensional stability. These characteristics enable reliable performance in environments exposed to thermal aging, heat cycling, and long-term mechanical stress. As a result, ForTii is widely adopted in engine-adjacent components, high-temperature electrical connectors, and precision structural parts where failure is not an option. The ForTii portfolio includes unreinforced grades as well as glass-fiber-reinforced, flame-retardant, hydrolysis-resistant, and high-flow variants. This broad lineup allows designers to optimize material selection according to specific application requirements such as thin-wall molding, metal replacement, or part integration. In addition, ForTii supports lightweight design strategies while maintaining mechanical integrity and long-term reliability. For applications where durability and performance stability over the entire service life are critical, ForTii is not merely an alternative material—it is often the baseline solution. Its proven global track record and robust performance make it a trusted PPA material for engineers facing the most demanding design challenges.

basic information
ForTii is based on polyphthalamide (PPA) chemistry and is available in a wide range of grades, including unreinforced, glass-fiber-reinforced (typically GF30–50%), flame-retardant, hydrolysis-resistant, and high-flow formulations. These variants are designed to address severe thermal, mechanical, and environmental demands across multiple industries. From a mechanical perspective, glass-fiber-reinforced ForTii grades exhibit very high tensile strength and flexural modulus, maintaining stiffness and strength even at elevated temperatures. Compared with PA6 and PA66, ForTii shows significantly lower creep under long-term load, making it particularly suitable for structural components, fastening areas, and load-bearing parts where dimensional stability is critical. Thermally, ForTii offers a melting point typically above 300 °C (grade-dependent) and a heat deflection temperature far exceeding that of conventional polyamides. Its wide continuous-use temperature range allows reliable operation in high-temperature environments, while excellent resistance to thermal aging and heat cycling ensures long-term performance stability. In terms of chemical and environmental resistance, ForTii demonstrates excellent resistance to oils, fuels, coolants, transmission fluids, and a wide range of automotive and industrial chemicals. Hydrolysis-resistant grades maintain stable mechanical and electrical properties even under prolonged exposure to high temperature and high humidity, supporting long service life in harsh environments. For electrical and electronic applications, ForTii provides high electrical insulation performance at elevated temperatures. Flame-retardant grades meeting UL94 V-0 are available, enabling safe use in high-voltage and high-current components where electrical reliability is essential. From a processing standpoint, ForTii is suitable for injection molding and supports thin-wall and complex geometries thanks to optimized flow behavior in selected grades. Its excellent dimensional stability and low warpage contribute to consistent quality and high reproducibility in mass production. Overall, ForTii is a high-performance PPA solution engineered for applications where high heat resistance and long-term reliability are top priorities.
