basic information
【Lecture Overview】 Towards carbon neutrality by 2050, many industries, including power plants and steel mills, are working on reducing CO₂ emissions. In this context, technologies for separation, capture, and storage of emitted CO₂, as well as carbon recycling (CR) technologies that utilize captured CO₂ as raw materials for fuels and chemicals, are being developed. For the social implementation of CR, it is essential not only to advance technology development but also to establish a CO₂ supply chain that involves collaboration across various industries, from CO₂ separation and capture to transportation and utilization. This lecture will detail the latest trends in CO₂ management, including technologies that are approaching the stage of social implementation and initiatives for inter-industry collaboration in three regions identified as leading examples by NEDO. 【Lecture Topics】 ■ Introduction ■ Policy Background and Social Demands ■ NEDO's Initiatives Towards Carbon Neutrality ■ Future Prospects and Challenges ■ Related Q&A ■ Business Card and Information Exchange Session
