It is characterized by high electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance, along with excellent wear resistance and hardness. These properties make it widely used in applications such as backing plates for semiconductors, backing metal for bearings in gas turbines and steam turbines, and various resistance welding electrodes.
