basic information
【Lecture Overview】 The Osaki CoolGen Project aims to realize innovative power generation technology centered on oxygen-blown IGCC, which enables high-efficiency power generation using fuel gas containing hydrogen obtained from coal gasification, and achieves high load adjustment capability. To date, we have conducted demonstration development toward establishing systems that dramatically reduce carbon emissions by adding CO₂ capture functionality to IGCC and integrating fuel cells for higher efficiency. Subsequently, we have also succeeded in the challenging biomass co-gasification. We are now looking to achieve carbon neutrality in combination with CO₂ capture. Starting this fiscal year, we will begin demonstration tests aimed at stabilizing the power grid, assuming practical operation. This lecture will provide a detailed explanation of the recent initiatives of Osaki CoolGen, which has entered a more practical phase. 【Lecture Items】 ■ Background of the Project ■ Oxygen-Blown Coal Gasification Technology ■ Achievements and Results of the Osaki CoolGen Project (Phases 1 to 3) ■ CO₂ Separation and Recovery Type IGCC Entering the Practical Stage ■ Related Q&A ■ Business Card and Information Exchange Session
