We would like to introduce a case study of a modification project for a metal fracture testing machine carried out for customers in the civil engineering and construction sectors of the steel industry. The existing metal fracture testing machine was facing issues with unstable waveforms and was not functioning well amid planned changes to the inspection method. The request was to maintain a cylinder thrust of 20 tons while keeping speeds of 100 mm/min and 10 mm/min, and to reduce the pressure. Working in collaboration with a partner company, we proposed changing the size of the cylinder and installing a flow control valve.
