Disinfectant effect against the Delta variant of the novel coronavirus.
Irradiation from a distance of 5 cm for 5 seconds > 99.99% inactivation Irradiation from a distance of 10 cm for 10 seconds > 99.94% Irradiation from a distance of 20 cm for 10 seconds > 99.44% (Target: SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant) (Used lamp: Cold cathode sterilization lamp, spiral shape, 12W) In an in vitro study conducted under the commissioned research of Professor Daisuke Hayasaka and Associate Professor Chuu Shimoda from the Joint Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Yamaguchi University, it was confirmed that irradiating the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 on a petri dish from a distance of 5 cm for 5 seconds resulted in > 99.99% inactivation. Additionally, under other conditions, it was confirmed that irradiating from a distance of 10 cm for 10 seconds resulted in > 99.94% inactivation, and from a distance of 20 cm for 10 seconds resulted in > 99.44% inactivation of the same virus.
