[Seminar] INPEX: Cost Reduction in Blue Hydrogen and Ammonia Production

**Lecture Overview** The use of ammonia as a fuel that does not emit CO2 during combustion is recognized as one of the promising means towards decarbonization. However, to achieve this, the development of manufacturing technologies for blue ammonia, which processes CO2 through CCUS in the current production process, and green ammonia derived from renewable energy, as well as reducing costs, are challenges that need to be addressed. A process combining elements such as the utilization of cold heat, ATR process, low-temperature and low-pressure ammonia, and high-pressure CO2 recovery has been devised, and it has been evaluated that this process can produce blue ammonia with higher efficiency compared to conventional methods. Therefore, a test plan has been devised to maximize the demonstration of this process on a small scale.
