Measurement of the saponification value of canola oil (rapeseed oil) and olive oil using an automatic titration device [Free download available].
This analysis is conducted in accordance with the EN ISO 3657 standard and is based on modifications of the AOAC 920.160, ASTM D5558, USP <401>, and Ph.Eur. 2.5.6 guidelines. By using potentiometric indications, it is possible to obtain very accurate results for a wide range of edible oils and animal fats, as well as for waxes and other products with a high saponification value.
