【Aluminum Machined All-Directional Mirror】 We consistently prototype and manufacture conical mirrors used for all-direction (360°) image acquisition, from aluminum cutting to mirror finishing. The development was prompted by inquiries at exhibitions regarding the high cost of glass all-direction mirrors and the difficulty of adding screws at arbitrary positions. Due to its conical shape, there is a challenge in achieving mirror surface quality because the peripheral speed decreases near the apex during turning processes. Therefore, we have established a process that includes equipment updates (introduction of a multi-tasking CNC lathe), and we currently achieve practical mirror surface quality through the combination of turning → light buffing → electropolishing. Although we are still in the improvement phase, we are continuously working towards the goal of "achieving a mirror surface solely through turning processes."
