Applications/Examples of results
An electrochemical biosensor is used to detect lactic acid in beer. The electrochemical method employed only requires the sample to be diluted 1:10 with a 0.1 mol/L Tris-NO3 (pH 7.2) solution. By using a simple amperometric assay, it is possible to measure the amount of lactic acid in beer samples within 75 seconds without any pretreatment. The scTRACE Gold electrode does not require extensive maintenance such as mechanical polishing.
