【Lecture Overview】 In recent years, due to global population explosion and geopolitical risks, the prices of food and raw materials have surged, increasing the necessity for food security. Additionally, climate change, including rising sea temperatures and overfishing, has begun to impact the fishing industry, leading to a decline in the availability of fish that were traditionally caught in coastal waters. Against this backdrop, there is a shift from traditional "catching fisheries" to "farming fisheries" centered on aquaculture, with particular attention being paid to "land-based aquaculture," which is not affected by environmental conditions or weather.
