【Lecture Overview】 In recent years, the issue of drugs that have been approved in Europe and the United States but are not developed in Japan (drug loss) has become apparent, raising concerns that innovative pharmaceuticals may not be provided in Japan. In response, both the public and private sectors in Japan are working together to advance discussions aimed at (1) strengthening the country's drug discovery capabilities, (2) delivering the latest pharmaceuticals to the public quickly, and (3) establishing a social system that sustains the cycle of investment and innovation.
