The Oriental micro heater is the latest sheath-type heater that is flexible, compact, and highly durable. It consists of a heating element (sheath) in which a heating wire (nichrome wire) is sealed together with high-purity insulation material (MgO) that has been densely compressed inside a metal thin tube (1.0φmm to 4.8φmm, SUS-316). The heating wire is connected to external lead wires within a sleeve at both ends or one end, and the sleeve opening is treated for moisture protection.
