The RRDE-3A rotating ring disk electrode device is a compact electronically controlled rotating electrode system designed for laboratory use. It integrates the drive unit and controller, weighing only 3.5 kg with a space-saving design of 19 cm in width and 23 cm in depth. The rotation speed of the electrode can be controlled from a low speed of 100 rpm to a high speed of 8,000 rpm, boasting a high precision with a rotation count display error of less than 1%. Electrodes that can be set in the device can be selected as either disk electrodes or ring disk electrodes according to the purpose. Each electrode is manufactured in an extremely small size of φ12×25 mm. These electrodes can be easily attached and detached, making maintenance straightforward. Reference electrodes and counter electrodes can be selected from various options sold by BAS. The device comes with an electrochemical cell that can be used with strong acid and strong alkaline solutions, and when combined with an alkaline reference electrode, it can also be used for evaluating catalysts for alkaline water electrolysis.
