- GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) complies with the GFCI (UL943 standard: Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter for personal protection) required for service outlet circuits in control panels as specified by NFPA79. UL489 certification is also obtained. - NFPA79:2007 15.1.1.1(1) stipulates that receptacle (outlet) circuits installed outside the control panel for electric tools, testing equipment, etc., must be protected by GFCI. - NFPA79:2007 15.1.2 stipulates that receptacle (outlet) circuits installed inside and outside the control panel for maintenance purposes must be protected by GFCI. - UL508A requires that receptacle (outlet) circuits be protected by breakers that comply with UL489 standards.
