basic information
CFRP products can be machined just like iron, aluminum, and stainless steel. However, because carbon fibers are very hard, tools tend to wear out quickly, so it is necessary to carefully consider the selection of tools (such as carbide or diamond) and the timing of their replacement to ensure precision. 'Performance of CFRP' ● Anisotropic material Performance manifests in the fiber direction (similar to humans, where enhanced muscle (fiber) quality, location, quantity, and direction generate capability. In other words, unlike metals and plastics, product creation always starts from "material design.") ● Lightweight Specific gravity of 1.5 to 1.7 (less than 1/4 of iron) ● High strength 900 to 3000 MPa (greater than iron: S45C is 700 MPa) ● High rigidity 55 to 350 GPa (iron: S45C is 200 GPa) ● Dimensional stability Low thermal expansion rate (below 3 ppm) ● Vibration damping Due to high specific rigidity (5 times that of iron) ● High thermal conductivity 2 to 300 W·m/°C (aluminum: 140 W·m/°C) ★ For more details, please contact us or download the materials to view them. ★
