Gigabit converter with OAM/IP management functionality
The FRM220A-1000EAS/X is a gigabit Ethernet converter that complies with the IEEE 802.3ah OAM standard, featuring 2×TP ports and 2×SFP ports, and converts between 10/100/1000Base-T and 100/1000Base-X (SFP). It supports SNMP and WEB management functions, allowing network administrators to monitor, configure, and control card modules of media converters compliant with IEEE 802.3ah and OAM-compliant converters connected remotely. This gigabit converter also supports layer 2 switch technologies such as bandwidth control, speed settings, VLAN tagging, Q-in-Q, QoS, spanning tree, automatic laser shutdown, link fault passthrough, OAM loopback, and Dying Gasp. This card can be managed and monitored through a chassis with an NMC management card.
