Fine wedge refers to a wire with a top dimension of 1mm or less and a slit (aperture) of 100 microns (0.1mm) or less, which can be manufactured with a precision of up to 5 microns. By using a wire with a diameter thinner than conventional wires, it achieves a higher opening ratio compared to traditional wedge wires. Additionally, it is made of high-strength, durable materials that allow for long-term use and flexible shape design tailored to various applications (panels, strainers, conical shapes, etc.). The wire with a cross-sectional shape can easily remove clogging through backwashing, which is expected to reduce running costs compared to disposable filters with the same filtration area when reused, and special cleaning methods such as chemical cleaning are not necessary. If introduced as a pretreatment for membrane filtration processes, it can further reduce the hassle of filter replacement and improve processing efficiency.
