The Ice*MeisterTM Model 9734 sensor element is a sensor that detects all forms of H2O, namely ice, water, and rain. In applications where ice detection was not possible or effective, the ice sensor has excellent ice detection speed and sensitivity.

The ice sensor optically detects snow, frost, dew, condensation, and white ice based on opacity. Additionally, it detects water, raindrops, and transparent ice through optical refraction data. Model 9734 monitors both opacity and refraction data of substances that come into contact with the probe surface. It does not use any moving parts.
