Komatsubara's "Sun Luster" is a high-pressure calendar that uses resin rollers as elastic rolls. It has several excellent features compared to traditional elastic rolls that use woolen paper rolls or cotton rolls. 1) There is no need to jump the roll at fabric joints, eliminating fabric loss caused by this. 2) Long hours of rolling for break-in are unnecessary, resulting in quicker startup after trial runs or roll changes. 3) The number of times the roll needs to be polished is drastically reduced compared to conventional methods, significantly increasing equipment operating rates. 4) To achieve the same luster effect on fabrics, only 30% of the conventional pressure is required, preventing issues such as broken warp threads. 5) Lint and cotton debris do not adhere, eliminating product defects caused by this. 6) It is durable against fabric joints and folds, and since the surface of the roll does not get scratched, the quality of the products remains consistently stable.
