AS140G/T-3G has excellent properties that allow it to maintain a liquid state even at high temperatures of molten salts, leading to its extensive use as a cooling medium for: - Improvement of workability through microstructural adjustment before cold forging - Salt patenting as a heat treatment enhancement for hard steel wire - Austempering and ADI treatment as strengthening methods using bainitic structure in spring steel and ductile cast iron Additionally, it has a proven track record in applications such as gas carburizing, salt quenching from hardening, marquenching (Iso quenching), reduction of distortion through martempering, and as a uniform cooling agent to reduce gear noise and machining issues.
