◆ Lecture Purpose ◆ It has been about 10 years since free patent search databases (such as the Japan Patent Electronic Library IPDL and USPTO/esp@acenet) and literature search databases (like CiNii J-STAGE and Google Scholar) became available. Although these databases are free, by utilizing the features they offer, they can be effectively used for prior art searches and the formulation of research and development strategies. The aim of this course is to enable participants to acquire research and analysis techniques that include not only patent information but also literature information through PC exercises (database exercises, Excel and PowerPoint exercises, etc.).
