Two-photon absorption materials usable for optical devices and bioimaging.
Two-photon absorption (TPA) refers to the ability to spatially select the location where light absorption occurs in three dimensions, and the probability of two-photon absorption is proportional to the square of the intensity of the incident light. For practical applications, materials with high two-photon absorption efficiency are required at necessary wavelengths (short wavelengths for optical recording, long wavelengths for bioapplications) and under specific environments (solid state for optical recording, underwater for bioapplications). ● New molecular design guidelines: Azulenyl compounds - Significant increase in two-photon absorption efficiency - Achieving the levels required for applications ● High-efficiency materials in solid state - Approximately tenfold increase in two-photon absorption efficiency ● Solubilization of high-efficiency materials in water ◇◆ For more details, please request materials or download the catalog ◆◇

Yamaguchi TLO Co., Ltd. is a TLO approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry based on the Act on the Promotion of Technology Transfer from Universities, established in November 1999 with investments from 50 faculty members of Yamaguchi University (capital of 4 million yen) before incorporation. It is a liaison-type technology transfer organization that bridges people. We return the research results from the university to society in the form of technology transfer and other means. Additionally, we are actively recruiting member companies to prioritize the disclosure of invention information and contribute to the development of the local economy through these efforts.
