basic information
Kapton® is a material that is indispensable in advanced industries, receiving high praise from various fields for its excellent mechanical, electrical, and chemical properties across a wide temperature range from -269°C in extreme low temperatures to +400°C in high temperatures. **Features of the Standard Type (H Type)** It is a transparent golden film obtained through the polycondensation of aromatic tetracarboxylic acid and aromatic diamine. This multifunctional polyimide film possesses remarkable characteristics, including its rare heat resistance, as well as the following astonishing features: - **Heat and Cold Resistance:** Its excellent mechanical properties at room temperature remain largely unchanged even in high-temperature environments. - **Flame Resistance:** It has no melting point and does not begin to carbonize until above 800°C. Additionally, its LOI (Limiting Oxygen Index) is extremely high among organic materials, making it non-flammable. - **Chemical Resistance:** It does not dissolve in organic solvents and demonstrates high chemical resistance even at elevated temperatures. - **Electrical Insulation:** Its excellent electrical properties, such as high dielectric breakdown voltage and low dielectric loss, remain largely unchanged across a wide range of temperatures and frequencies.
