GeomCaliper is a tool for measuring and displaying wall thickness in CATIA V5 models. By using GeomCaliper, the repetitive wall thickness measurement tasks (creating 2D cross-sections → measuring) that occur during the design phase can be significantly reduced. There are two methods for measuring wall thickness: the RAY method, which measures in the normal direction to the surface, and the SPHERE method, which measures the shortest distance from the point of contact between a sphere and the surface. Unlike conventional measuring tools, GeomCaliper is an easy-to-use tool integrated into CATIA V5.
