DLC film is a type of carbon-based ceramic film that has excellent wear resistance, sliding properties, release properties, corrosion resistance, and gas barrier properties.
【Features】 - Our unique PIA film formation method allows for coating rubber, resin, and non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum, nickel, titanium, etc.) at room temperature, which was previously impossible. - It is possible to achieve a porous-free thick film DLC coating. - Functions can be added to DLC (such as water repellency, release properties, conductivity, etc.). * The photo shows the PIAD device that enables high-speed DLC coating on complex shapes at room temperature. - Film formation is possible from nano-imprint molds to long, large-area substrates.

basic information
PIA-DLC is characterized by its ability to form films at room temperature. This feature is particularly evident in rubber, resin, and non-ferrous metals. For rubber and resin, it is possible to add properties such as wear resistance, lubricity, anti-sticking, and gas barrier performance. For non-ferrous metals, high adhesion film formation is possible through ion implantation, allowing for coatings thicker than 10 microns. By adding various ions to DLC, functional DLC can be achieved. For example, doping with fluorine improves water repellency and release properties.
