Applications/Examples of results
By applying high voltage electrical stimulation to the shiitake mushroom logs and cultivation beds, the yield can be increased. Using this device, a demonstration experiment conducted by Ehime Prefecture showed that the yield per block was 157g for untreated, 193g for 1-second treatment, and 241g for 3-second treatment. The block with the highest yield, which received 3 seconds of electrical stimulation, produced 1.5 times the yield of the untreated block.
