Ultrasonic thickness gauge
The DM5E series demonstrates its power in measuring the remaining wall thickness of corrosion. Thickness can be measured simply by placing the sensor on one side of the object being measured. It is also capable of measuring small-diameter pipes and elbow sections. It can measure sensitive internal corrosion areas, such as those affected by pitting corrosion. This compact handheld device can be used in high-altitude locations and is effective for inspection surveys of structures like bridges.

basic information
The DM5E series ultrasonic thickness gauge is the latest general-purpose (corrosion) thickness gauge from the Krautkramer brand, inherited from the DM1, and is newly released. It features standard sensors capable of measuring thickness at temperatures up to 204°C. Thickness can be measured from one side without needing to sandwich the test object. It also includes a dual multi-function feature that allows for measuring the base material thickness over coatings and paints. This ultrasonic thickness gauge is compact, lightweight, and offers excellent performance. The DM5E ultrasonic thickness gauge measures thickness by directing ultrasonic waves into the material and receiving reflections from the opposite side. It can easily measure pipes, tanks, and large plates that cannot be measured with calipers or micrometers from one side.
