Magnetic sensor (core and shield) permalloy

A core to capture weak magnetic signals strongly, and a shield to direct the magnetic influence away.

●Current Sensor Current clamp cores (clamp meters) measure by clamping around power lines, and some high-sensitivity models use permalloy. Additionally, gap cores, which have a portion of round or square iron cores cut out, detect magnetic fields by inserting Hall elements into the cut section. Permalloy, which can detect even slight magnetic fields, plays an important role in controlling the batteries of hybrid and electric vehicles. ●CT (Current Transformer) Core Current transformers are devices that adjust current values, effectively reducing large currents on the primary side to manageable levels on the secondary side. One example is the ZCT (Zero Sequence Current Transformer) used in leakage breakers in distribution panels, where the highly sensitive permalloy reliably detects even minor electrical leaks. ●EI Core This is a core shaped literally like an "E" or "I."
