This viscometer is automated and complies with JIS-R3103-2 "Measurement Method for Softening Point and Strain Point by Fiber Stretching Method." The measurement of the glass strain point is determined by suspending a glass thread with a diameter of 0.65 mm and a length of 100 mm in a circular furnace using a quartz supporter, and measuring the change in elongation under a temperature drop condition with a load of approximately 1 kg applied.
