The VSI gear meter employs two circular gears, allowing the movement of the gear teeth to be output as pulses, resulting in a dramatic improvement in resolution (capacity per pulse) compared to conventional types that use elliptical gears. Each tooth outputs a pulse, providing quick responsiveness and a wide measurement range. Additionally, due to its volumetric principle, it can measure flow with high precision without being affected by changes in fluid viscosity.
