The balls roll on the precision-ground rolling surfaces of the four-row LM rail and LM block, and the ball rows are circulated by the ball retainer and the end plate incorporated in the LM block. Each ball row is arranged at a contact angle of 45° to ensure a constant equivalent load in four directions (radial, reverse radial, and lateral) acting on the LM block, allowing for use in any posture while applying a well-balanced preload. This maintains a consistently low friction coefficient while enhancing rigidity in all four directions. With a low cross-sectional height and a high-rigidity design of the LM block, high-precision and stable linear motion can be achieved.
