The two rows of rolling surfaces, precisely ground on the LM rail and LM block, allow the balls to roll and circulate through the ball rows, thanks to the end plate incorporated in the LM block. The LM block holds the balls in place with a retaining plate, preventing them from falling out. The two rows of balls rolling on the LM rail have an angular contact structure that makes contact with each rolling surface at a 45° angle. When assembled in the same plane (by combining two LM rails and an LM block used in the same plane), they can bear the same load in four directions (radial, reverse radial, and lateral). Moreover, due to the low profile height, a compact and stable linear guide mechanism is achieved. It is relatively easy to adjust the gaps and has excellent ability to absorb mounting errors.
