A special temperature measuring set screw that indicates the maximum reached temperature!
"Templug" is a small screw-like component that can be installed in movable parts or intricate areas where conventional temperature measurement devices are difficult to use. It is installed by cutting a tap into the movable parts of the engine (such as pistons and blades) and operated in a screwed-in state. After a certain exposure to temperature, it can be removed and analyzed by the manufacturer to determine the maximum temperature reached at the installation site. The analysis at the manufacturer involves measuring the hardness changes of the screw due to the quenching effect and cross-referencing with a database.
