Today, the technology for parts processing is moving towards higher precision, faster speeds, and greater complexity, and it is undoubtedly true that most of this progress is driven by advancements in machinery. However, there are aspects of technology that cannot be matched solely by machine advancements; there will always be areas that rely on human skill and expertise. In extreme cases, components such as the nose sections of airplanes and shinkansen trains are made using hand-spinning techniques, and the sliding surfaces of machine tools (the foundation for high precision) are finished with hand scraping. While not to that extent, in our processing as well, there are many techniques that can only be acquired through years of experience and effort (for example, methods for clamping items and shaping cutting tools). We believe that by nurturing craftsmen with such skills, our company can contribute to society.
