Celtis DLC Coating [Superior adhesion and wear resistance compared to conventional methods!]
Celtes DC, Celtes DT
A new composite multilayer DLC coating with superior adhesion and wear resistance has arrived! It enhances the lifespan of sliding components, precision molds, and tools!
The Celtes DLC is a next-generation composite multilayer DLC coating produced by a hybrid process of Plasma Booster Sputtering (PBS) and Plasma CVD. By adopting a new plasma source, it can be deposited at lower temperatures (below 180°C) than before, significantly improving the durability of molds and parts compared to conventional DLC. With a high adhesion 3-5 micron DLC coating, it can also be applied to tool steel molds and SUJ/SCM steel parts that have previously been unsuitable due to insufficient adhesion at high surface pressures. 【Features】 - In the Fabry (Falex) seizure test, it achieved a seizure load limit of up to 2000 kgf under non-lubricated conditions and over 2500 kgf under lubricated conditions. - Compared to other companies' composite multilayer DLCs, the damage to the coating after the Fabry test is minimal, and it does not peel off even when the base material becomes red-hot and undergoes plastic flow. *For more details, please request documentation or view the PDF data available for download.

By adopting special sputtering and plasma CVD processes, we provide high-quality coatings with excellent adhesion even at low-temperature treatments below 180 degrees, along with high film thickness precision and outstanding tribological properties such as wear resistance, seizure resistance, and low friction coefficient, all based on abundant achievements and experience, with short delivery times. In particular, coatings from the Seltes brand, such as CrN-based coatings (Seltes X, N) as alternatives to Cr plating and Seltes DLC, which have excellent adhesion even under high surface pressure, are highly regarded in plastic molding molds, press molds, automotive parts, and high-precision sliding components. We also conduct various evaluations of metal surfaces and thin films, as well as defect analysis, using surface cleanliness measurement instruments like Corona Surf.
