Examples of labor-saving measures using long hoses and wiring in work.
Making work easier with long hoses and wiring (labor-saving case)
In the manufacturing site, there are many situations where long hoses and materials are handled during processes that require movement. In one location, workers were using a long hose with a black protective sleeve, but the hose did not move as desired during transportation, leading to decreased work efficiency. There was a request to improve the work process. Solution: Utilization of a balancer + Installation of a movement rail This time, I proposed the introduction of a "balancer." A balancer is a device that reduces weight and allows for more freedom of movement. The hose is connected to the balancer, which is designed to move smoothly along a rail structure in the ceiling. The rail is shaped to fit the factory and usage location. Although the balancer itself is a standard product, it can be designed and constructed to meet the user's needs. Installation work and considerations In installing the balancer, the following points were taken into account: - Compatibility with the ceiling structure: A dedicated bracket was designed to avoid interference with existing rails and beams. - Ensuring movement range: The rail layout was adjusted to maximize the movement range of the balancer in accordance with the worker's movement line. - Preventing snagging and sagging during work in accordance with the balancer.
