It can also remove rubber, plating, and paint from the surface of products. Compared to other abrasives, it causes less wear when striking the target, resulting in less dust and waste. However, since the raw material is metallic, there is a possibility of "transferred rust" occurring when applied to materials that are less prone to rust, such as stainless steel. **Characteristics of Sandblasting:** In the past, "silica sand" was used as an abrasive, but now mainly "ferro-nickel slag," a non-metallic abrasive, is used. Because a non-metallic abrasive is used, it can be applied to materials that are less prone to rust, such as stainless steel. It has less grinding power compared to grit blasting, allowing for careful application on soft metals and products with extensive masking.
