Quick Cutter Method

The "Quick Cutter Method" is a technique for replacing manhole covers that involves attaching a circular cutter with a wireless camera to an excavator to cut asphalt or concrete pavement, using ultra-rapid hardening high fluidity non-shrink grout (AQC grout) as the restoration material. It can be mounted on a 0.1 to 0.2m (3t to 4t) class excavator with a coupler. At the company's manufacturing plant, the steel frames and roofing materials had deteriorated over many years of use, with rust and corrosion becoming prominent. Since demolition or new construction would require high costs and a long construction period, they were looking for a method to repair the facility in a short time while keeping the plant operational. Thus, they adopted the Dye-Q Technology reinforcement method, which allowed them to permeate new materials into the deteriorated areas and restore strength in a short period. Because the work could be done while the plant was in operation, they were able to minimize the impact on production.
