This is an insulating ceramic characterized by being lightweight and having a low thermal expansion rate, excelling in thermal shock resistance. It exhibits less than half the thermal expansion rate compared to common materials like alumina. It is used in applications where dimensional changes due to temperature fluctuations must be minimized, or as insulating materials that experience rapid temperature changes.
