As construction machines are increasingly equipped with numerous electronic components, the importance of EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) testing is rising to prevent accidents caused by electromagnetic noise and interference. <Enforcement of Standards Related to Construction Machinery> In 2021, the enforcement of the latest standards for construction machinery, "EN ISO 13766-1, 2:2018," is scheduled. This enforcement will expand the upper frequency limit for radiated immunity and require electromagnetic wave exposure to the construction machinery body. In Europe, a standard transition is planned for 2021, and compliance with the latest standards will be necessary when launching products.

In July 2023, the 10-meter anechoic chamber at the EMC Lab (formerly known as SEIWA EMC Technical Center) located within the headquarters factory in Joyo City, Kyoto Prefecture, was accredited as an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 testing laboratory. This accreditation allows for a one-stop service from preliminary testing to the creation of EMC compliance test reports. In conjunction with this, we have started accepting applications for "EMC compliance testing" using the same facility.
