This case study introduces how the unpleasant odors generated during dismantling with gas welding equipment were reduced by spraying the deodorant "Mushugen Y250-SQ," aiming to improve the environment inside the tunnel. After the dismantling work of the shield machine, unpleasant odors worsened the working environment inside the tunnel. The deodorant "Mushugen Y250-SQ" was diluted to 2,000 times and sprayed at a rate of 276 ml/min using one mist fan. We would like to introduce a case where issues of odor and transparency caused by simple discharge were addressed with chemicals. In the river, complaints from residents arose due to the generation of odors from malodorous substances and the deterioration of transparency. However, the river is home to many living organisms, such as fish, and it was not possible to use the methods or chemicals commonly employed at wastewater treatment facilities.
